An absolute monter , end game subwoofer

I got this subwoofer a little over a month ago, and it has served me extremely well. I originally ordered the B- Stock of the Tonewinner 15"ported subwoofer, but was sent this subwoofer as the recommended replacement by Aamir as Hifi-summit ran out of stock on the Tonewinner. I live in Saskatoon, so it was a bit of a leap of faith for me to listen to the advice of someone that I never met on a product that I've never seen and Boy oh Boy am I glad I did. After a month of fine tuning and using this subwoofer in my home theatre for both music and movies, I cannot recommend it enough.

For music, I found the bass smooth, and incredibly musical. The kick drum punches through, and the bass line clear and presented without overtaking the other instruments. I've gone through my Steely Dans, Kendrick Lamar's, D Angelo , Daftpunk, Mastodon, Prince Daddy and the Hyena's tracks and it doesn't matter what genre you put on, it just handles it all with incredible ease.

For movies, It kicks serious ass. When I watched Project Hail Mary with my friends, you can feel the punch in your chest and your couch rumbling every time space ships thrusts forward. You can feel the explosions and every heavy punch in Pacific Rim, in Edge of Tomorrow. You can feel the waves hitting you in Blade Runner 2049. This thing has significantly improved the experience in my home theatre.

It was also very easy to set up the app with the subwoofer, and adjust everything on your phone. Aamir also has been very friendly and quick to response to text and answer any questions.
Just for context, I am only running a 2.1 system with this in a 20ft by 13ft room, and only have the Subwoofer at 60 percent of it's capabilities. and honestly I don't see any reason I would look for another subwoofer in my lifetime.

Astonished

I bought the tonewinner 7 channel amp and the at 500. I replaced a anthem avm 60 and a krell kav 500. My theatre sound better than it ever did! I'm blown away. Some mention set-up time, I didn't have a problem at all! Tonewinner has my vote.

TW AD-7300 2.0 Version - 7 channel Amp 7X300W@8Ω

Filled in the blanks

I am building a system I always wanted and am so glad I found Summit Hi-Fi. I started with the A2 to drive my ESL9 speakers and the A7 fills in the centre and my TAW8 surrounds. The amps allow me to crank up the volume without a hint of distortion. The soundstage is open and wide with power to fill in the nuances that the speakers are capable of.

Wow, what a beast of a Power Amp this “A11"

I was in the market for a replacement 11 channel Power Amplifier. In my research a lot of positive feedback for the Summit Hi-Fi "A11" Gen 2 - 11 Channel Toroidal Power Amp. I called up Aamir and placed an order for this A11 amp and he had it shipped to me next day, excellent customer service.
It arrived safely doubled box and it is extremely heavy. The unit is now placed into my home theatre and wow what a difference and upgrade over my last power amp. This unit is very well made, sounds awesome and looks great in my home theatre. I highly recommend this amplifier and will be buying other products from Aamir at Summit Hi-Fi.
Cheers,

Just.. WOW

I dont even know where to start, lol. These subs are no joke. These are the first subs I buy and probably the last I'll ever get. I can't see myself ever wanting more then what these provide.

Absolutely next level! Clean and tight bass, and lows that will leave you in shock. Seriously.

Also the quality you're getting for the price is unbeatable! Insane value. I must warn you though, these things are massive, and HEAVY. At first glance I wasn't a huge fan of the handles on the sides, but after trying to move them, I'm very thankful they are there.

A huge shout out to Aamir. Amazing customer service and honestly just a stand up guy. Super friendly and helpful. I had to call him a few times to help with set up, and he was there with no hesitation. That was on a Saturday! I've never had customer service like that for anything.

I know they are sold out now, but if you are hesitating on picking these up once they have more, just DO IT. I promise, you will be very far from disappointed.

Finally….the end game subs (for me).

Wow….wow….wow….and Wow.
Honestly I wasn’t even planning to replace my 2 PB3000, but came across Barrett’s video about this sub, and when I saw the price at the end….shoot, my alarm system went off. In reality, I was a 20/80 music/movies, but a couple of years ago I started to listen more and more music, and got curious about sealed subs. That was the right opportunity to finally give it a try without selling an harm and a leg.
Big…big thank you to Aamir, that was so patient with me….I think I called him 20 times in 3 days. Always available and always ready to help me with whatever doubt I had about making the swap. I decided to go all in and got 2 Pretium 18”….and boy….am I happy? These subs are amazing, they dig deeper than the Pb3000, you feel the….presence….not sure how to put it in words. Another thing that I absolutely love, since I live in a semidetached, at night I listen to music a lower level…..the pb3000 just wasn’t there at that volume….the Pretium ,even when I’m at -40db….you can hear the bass perfectly….just amazing. Still playing around with settings, but so far I’m impressed. I’m not an audiophile by any means, but I can assure you that my overall experience in listening music and watching movies, just got to another level.
Highly recommend……
Ah sorry….don’t get fooled by Barret video ….this sub is big…and heavy…..

Top-Tier Service and Unbeatable Performance

I reached out to Aamir on a Sunday to inquire about the Zidoo UHD8000 and was blown away by the immediate response. The purchase process was seamless; thanks to a local distribution center, I had the unit in my hands within 24 hours.

The UHD8000 is a powerhouse. I was initially hesitant about using two 16TB mechanical SATA drives, fearing playback stutter, but the performance is flawless. It handles uncompressed MKVs and Dolby Vision demos with ease—tasks that my NVIDIA Shield consistently struggled with. The build quality is rock-solid, and while I’m still exploring its extensive feature set, I couldn't be happier with the upgrade. Many thanks to Aamir for the stellar communication!

500w?

Sim audio moon ACE, this amp, Jamo S809 speakers, 120w 240w peak. The ACE volume goes to 80. I easily played 8 songs at 72 on the dial which should hit in excess of 375w. These speakers should have blown. And the volume they did play was more about 100-120w amp. So I’d question the power rating. However I had been using the TW 7ch amps to run my 7.1.6 system now I use this amp as well for my mains. I do feel they sound a bit more crisp and clear, and a bit more spatial, so that’s positive. And having 3 monster amps lined up does look badass.

Love it and a Great seller!

Had a great experience with Aamir and he has been very helpful! The SW-D4000 is an excellent subwoofer that works beautifully in my basement, delivering deep, powerful bass without overwhelming the space. Aamir went above and beyond with his support, answering all my questions patiently and helping me get the setup configured perfectly. He was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cared about ensuring I was satisfied. The product quality is outstanding, and the customer service made the entire experience even better. I would highly recommend both the SW-D4000 and working with Aamir to anyone looking for a reliable subwoofer and exceptional support. Definitely a five-star experience!

Top tear 5 star

After a warrenty issue which was easy and seaminless I've put this sub to test all.around movies dolby atmos and up and down the ringer this sub is amazing for the price a must I like my paradigm. Now this competes for sure clean tight bass lots of fine tuning controls if you known and understand... Easy to learn a must ported and sealed great feature

Ahh…That’s What I’ve Been Missing

Always wanted a sub that was reasonably priced for good value and this unit hits the mark! The way it energizes my room is phenomenal! Shakes my couch, makes my pant legs move, and I’m sitting 7 feet away. Hearing the lost octave of music I’ve never heard before has me listening to my music all over again. Watching movies are a whole lot different now! Black Hawk Down had the helicopters seem right over head and pounding in my chest. Hearing one in my setup made me want two, and that smoothed things out nicely. The amount of adjustment within the app is great to have, and the sub is very responsive to the changes. There could be some improvements to the app like split screen for more than one sub but this is minor.
Thanks to Aamir for the customer service and assistance from start to finish!

Incredible Value

For the longest time I thought that an larger quality subwoofer would forever be outside my price range. On occasion of my 50th birthday, replaced my trusty SB3000 with this beast and couldn't be happier!!
1. Plays music just as tight and quick as a smaller sub - which i didn't expect from an 18 incher.
2. Goes down to 10Hz in room, effortlessly
3. Integrated extremely well with my speakers. Got an extremely even in room response, and was able to tame the room mode - the inbuilt PEQ is effective.
4. My 20-20Kz response with 1/12 and psychoacoustic smoothing are included for reference. This is far better than what I could achieve with the SVS
5. My 10-200 Hz Subwoofer only response with no smoothing is also the best I've ever achieved.
6. Can feel the impact even at low volumes. I'm generally listening to music at -40 to -30 after calibrating at 75db. Even at those low volumes bass impact and presence is incredible.
Cons:
1. The handles although very necessary to move this behemoth, take away from the finish a little bit. Although only 1 side is visible in my set up, I wish they could be removed and left with a flat surface after.

Home theater

Purchased two of these A7's along with one A2 after talking with Aamir. Was in the position to replace six of my Yamaha M-80's with something new. Went to site on line and submitted some questions, Aamir called back within a very short time, during this call we figured what would work best and I have not regretted the decision made since. These are very good amps and Aamir's customer service is second to none

A2 center Chanel for home theater

Purchased the A2 along with two A7 for my home theater. Aamir called me in a very short time after I asked a couple of questions about a couple of other amps on the on line site. I was replacing six Yamaha M-80's that I have had for years. The A series from Summit are very good and I noticed the difference right away. Have no regrets going with these fine amps and would recommend them to others. Aamir's customer service is second to none.

Great stuff

So my neighbor passed gave me his sub swd4000 noticed was wierd he pounding it I think but shortly after sub blows. Hifi set me up quick even no I had only his info he died thank you hifi great warrenty as well solid no worries I'll be back and suggest everyone to due the same

Another dimension to my HT setup

I was the happy owner of a 15 in Paradigm Servo sub . I decided to upscale my setup by getting not one but two 18 in Pretium . Yes it is a little overkill. Those subs can make your room shake like crazy. For HT purpose, it is a huge step up. Gotta be careful cause you can make your neighbor become unfriendly with a reason. I cant compare to any SVS subs as i never had any. For music , it is a welcomed addition to my Polk Audio R700 speakers. Best of all is the app that controls the subs. Very useful as the sub frequency/levels are mixed very differently from one source to another. I will typically adjust the levels when i begin a listening/watching session. Some material has way too much making it undesirable..I just slide a control on my phone for a more comfortable level..a great product at a reasonable price

Dealing with Aamir was a pleasure

Tonewinner 7300+

I bought 2 tonewinner 7300+ for my 4.1 system in my family room. They sound great and look good to boot. They shipped on time and got a call with in minutes from the owner after the order which is hard to find these days. Thank you.

Great Amp!

Using this amp to power the front 3 mains in my home theatre. Great amplifier and removes the stress from my AVR to assign to surround ATMOS speakers. Have it's little brother as well (AD-5100PA+) and it's just a little larger and heavier. Just for users to be aware that the 3 channel indicator lights stay on full intensity always, unlike the AD-5100PA+ that flash due to usage. Overall very happy with the purchase, and as others have posted Aamir is simply wonderful to deal with...will buy more Tonewinner equipment or even the house brand simply do to Aamir's customer service.

The missing piece

Spent years upgrading my system and these subs were the missing pieces. They seemlesly intergrate with my current ported 15 inch subs and provided that deeper bass that i was missing. They are a gamechanger for movies and music, they reach ultra low frequencies in my room that you feel in your chest and vibrate your room.

The build is excellent solid and they have a great finish.I absolutelly love the handles as my wife and I could manaouver easily and carrydown into the basement with ease.

The app is a great feature as well unexpected at this price range.

My only regret is waiting this long to get 2 off the 10"s.
Aamir is a true legend always available to answer any questions that you may have.

Great product

Fast shipping, arrived as was supposed to, looks great, works great, easy to set up.

Great sound but be prepared to spend some time for setup

I've had the AT-500 in use now for approximately 6 weeks. I am quite pleased with the sound performance. It provides a noticeable improvement from the Denon X4700h I previously used for my preamp-only processor. I recommend it with the caveat that you understand this is not like a Denon or Marantz processor where you just plug it in, follow a simple setup routine, and play.
The pro's are the excellent sound processing, compatibility with all different source materials I've thrown at it, and great value for what you receive. Also it looks really nice sitting on the top shelf of my equipment rack.
The con's are not insignificant however.
1) the menus are not especially English-friendly and took some time to understand and navigate. The user manual is not useful. Terms/abbreviations for the different channels in both the manual and on the back of the unit will not correspond to what you may have called them in the past.
2) it does not help that the remote can be quite fickle and unintuitive until you get used to it. Sometimes multiple button presses does nothing at all, and there is no indication of what is going on - for example, is the processor too busy to complete the command? I now navigate it successfully but it took some practice, trial and error. After setup I only used to switch input sources, so I can live with it.
3) the built in auto-Eq and supplied external microphone may as well be tossed in the garbage. I was a bit shocked at how bad it sounded after running the Auto-EQ setup process. After looking at how it chased high-Q EQ adjustments, I was not surprised. I then took a shot at setting up EQ's using REW measurements through my UMIK microphone with better success, but I was still not happy. Finally I purchased the MagicBeans app (at Aamir's suggestion) for $200 and achieved a result that required only minor tweaking to sound perfect. I would recommend you plan on at minimum using REW and UMIK. MagicBeans just helped me find a near optimal solution much more quickly and with zero frustration. The good news is that you get 11 bands to tweak on most of the channels, 5 on the subs as I recall. It would be great if Tonewinner would allow some flexibility on what frequencies it tries to adjust, and Q limits.
4) Don't be like me and 'assume' a phono input is included. A Schitt Mani 2 solved the problem for me but now I have another piece of hardware. (I don't listen to records that often, so a built in MM phono stepup would have been adequate for me)
5) Ditto for music streaming. I went with a Wiim Mini that sounds very nice for the money - it uses the internal AT-500 DAC. But again, another piece of hardware in the mix. Not an issue for many I realize who have high-end DAC's.
5) Why only one balanced sub output? I believe most people interested in this type of product are running multiple subs like me. I have my largest sub amp connected to the balanced output, and the smaller via an RCA > XLR cable which works fine actually, but it's frustrating that I had to downgrade my connection and limit what sub amps I can use.
7) Support. I've never needed it before with electronics, but you may with this product. Support for this product means calling and leaving a voicemail for Aamir at Summitt, and then hoping you can catch his return phone call when he calls back. He is knowledgeable and helpful when you do speak to him, but be prepared for some phone tag is you don't keep your phone close by to answer his call. He does not seem to like using email or messaging. I am difficult to reach live sometimes, so I would prefer online or live help.
8) Performance wise, the only bug I have encountered (besides the fickle remote) is that on some source material the center channel is completely disabled when I first switch to that source. Netflix or HBO for example. I have found that by switching to another source, and then coming back to what I want to play, the center channel activates. It's not consistent - I'm still trying to figure out what conditions cause it to occur. The amp is on for that channel, so I believe it is just not receiving a signal temporarily.
To summarize, I do like the AT-500 overall, and would indeed buy it again, but the adaptation curve was higher for me than with other electronics I have purchased. Full disclosure I am pushing 68 years old, so that likely affected my patience/tolerance/speed level of the adaptation.

DMP A8

Great sounding unit a lot of flexibility, but does seem to have a software problem which is it sometimes freezes and it’s necessary to reboot, hope they fix it in the next software update got a kick out of the fact that you can watch a video on the screen. The DMP A8 is a good addition for updating my vintage McIntosh stereo system.
